'REQUIEM IN WHITE IN RETROSPECT' by Pedro Gomez
Pedro Gomez’ Exhibition, ‘Requiem in White in Retrospect' opens February 12 at San Art Framing.
CREATURES
San Art Framing is proud to announce ‘CREATURES,’ a group show featuring the work of Elizabeth Adams, Elizabeth Tolson, Rachel Urkowitz and Michelle Weinberg. We will celebrate the opening of the show on Thursday March 19 at 7 PM.
“What is a creature? Something unfamiliar, suggestive of a living being, a curiosity and a question, the manifestation of a dream or a nightmare. In the collected works of these four artists, inanimate objects suggest a secret life force with the potential to jump, ooze, or shudder into action. Embracing chance operations, found materials, and multiple processes, these artists defamiliarize the textures and patterns of daily life and play with the chaotic disturbances of inner lives, city streets, and domestic spaces.”
We will send out more information as this exhibition approaches!
Barnaby Spring, ‘The Chango Project: Doctor Chango Coneadorgle’s Flying Medicine Show’
Barnaby Spring's 'The Chango Project' combines ideas from science, religion, spirituality, myth, and medicine collected through the artist's life experience. Historical realities become anchors for conversation about current events, artistic emergence, and transformation.
Ella Rocker and Aidan Grueling, ‘A Place to Go’
In order to fundraise, Aidan and Ella will both be exhibiting independent works but are also coming together to collaborate on several works for the show. All work will be for sale and all proceeds will go towards The Phoenix, Back on My Feet, and supplies for runners on the day of The New York City Marathon.
Gowanus Darkroom 10 Year Anniversary Group Show
Gowanus Darkroom is a community darkroom located in Gowanus Brooklyn. To celebrate 10 years of operating, Gowanus Darkroom is curating a group show at San Art Framing.
Aidan Grueling, ‘Strange Liturgy’
Aidan Grueling’s ‘Strange Liturgy’ is an ode to the void, to absence and presence and to the scales of the body and the landscape.
Elizabeth Adams, 'Double Solitaire'
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Elizabeth Adams has lived in New York City for most of her adult life. She is profoundly influenced by the density of people, languages, and forms in her adopted city.
